미국의 세계적인 스래쉬 메탈 밴드인 메탈리카의 강력한 반전 노래인 'One'은 1988년에 발매된 정규 4집 앨범인 [...And Justice for All] 수록곡으로 앨범에서 세 번째로 싱글로 발매가 되었습니다.

 

 

메탈리카의 4집 앨범은 1986년 메탈리카의 멤버인 베이시스트 '클리프 버튼 (Cliff Burton)'이 사망하고 '제이슨 뉴스테드 (Jason Newsted)로 교체 후 발매된 앨범입니다.

 

'One'은 빌보드 핫 100 35위, UK 싱글 13위, 핀란드 싱글 1위 등을 기록하였으며, 2023년 롤링 스톤은 '역대 최고의 헤비메탈 노래 100'에서 11위에 선정하였습니다. 메탈리카는 1990년 그래미 어워드 최우수 메탈 퍼포먼스상을 수상하였습니다.
